#4: 5’9 ’26 Malik Tinsley (Lancaster)

Starting off, Malik Tinsley is a 5-foot-9 prospect in the Class of 2026. Between his IQ, athleticism, and overall polish, he clearly stood out as one of the most dynamic guards on display. Tinsley is a crafty ball-handler with an incredibly quick first step, which allows him to touch the paint with relative ease. He consistently sets up others when attacking the basket, but also finishes extremely well for his size. Tinsley is a great shooting threat who fills it up along the perimeter. He’s a pesky defender who forces turnovers at a quality rate. Next in his development process is working on his ability to move without the ball, as it would make him a more complete player. Coach Rose on Tinsley: “Malik is an elite ball-handler and three-level scorer who can fill it up offensively. Really quick. Effortlessly breaks down defenses off the dribble. Makes correct reads with the ball in his hands. Great defender. Tough and scrappy.” Tinsley proved to be an asset during camp and should be poised for a highly productive senior season at Lancaster.
#20: 6’0 ’27 James Epting III (DW Daniel)

Next, James Epting III is a 6-foot-0 prospect in the Class of 2027. He really stood out through his ability to fill in the gaps on both ends of the floor. Epting is a smart, scrappy, unselfish guard who does a little bit of everything. Epting is a rugged defender with the positioning and instincts to shut down opposing guards. His nonstop energy allows him to force turnovers and consistently outwork opponents as a rebounder. Epting moves well without the ball and applies nice pressure as a spot-up threat. Next in his development process is working on the use of his off-hand, as it would make him a better creator against defensive pressure. Coach Rose on Epting: “James is a great glue-guy who excels at doing the little things. He rebounded well and was willing to sacrifice his body for extra opportunities. Good three-point shooter. Spaces the floor well along the perimeter. Good teammate. Vocal on both ends of the floor.” Epting found success during his time at camp and should be a key piece for DW Daniel this season.
#29: 6’1 ’27 Josh Gamble (West Florence)

Next, Josh Gamble is a 6-foot-1 prospect in the Class of 2027. Between his lethal penetration sense and list of positive intangibles, he highlighted a variety of appealing qualities. Gamble is extremely quick, which allows him to effortlessly break down opponents and get downhill. He’s a capable finisher and willing passer, but can also knock down open jumpers along the perimeter. Gamble is also a useful rebounder for his size/position. Next in his development process is working on the use of his off-hand, as it would make him a more complete player. Coach Rose on Gamble: “Josh possesses a very quick first step. Touches the paint at a high rate and makes good reads with the ball. Knows how to break down defenses off the dribble. Unselfish decision-maker. Plays hard on both ends of the floor.” Gamble enjoyed a solid showing at camp and should be a difference-maker for West Florence this season.
#36: 6’1 ’27 Samajae Govan (Dutch Fork)

Next, Samajae Govan is a 6-foot-1 prospect in the Class of 2027. He’s a smart, all-around guard with a terrific blend of motor, skill, and athleticism. Govan is a reliable creator, both for himself and others, and quality scorer from all levels. He handles the ball with poise and makes great decisions off the dribble. Govan’s perimeter shooting and cutting ability allow him to actively toggle between playing with or without the ball. He’s also a suffocating defender who anticipates well to force turnovers and push transition play. Next in his development process is working to improve his transition defense, as it would make him a more complete player. Coach Rose on Govan: “Samajae is an elite ball-handler with a great feel for the game. Great passer who elevates his surrounding teammates. Good shooter off the dribble. Tough, scrappy on-ball defender. Displays a high motor on both ends of the floor.” Govan did a lot of things well throughout camp and should be a key piece at Dutch Fork going forward.
#45: 6’3 ’26 Kiauj Allen (Wilson)

Next, Kiaui Allen is a 6-foot-3 prospect in the Class of 2026. He stood out as a smart, versatile piece on both ends of the floor. Allen is a terrific penetrator, finisher, and midrange threat, but doesn’t need the ball to be impactful. He guards all positions on the floor and rebounds the ball extremely well for his size. Allen overwhelms opponents with his strength and nonstop motor, which allows him to force turnovers at a quality rate. Next in his development process is working on his consistency as a three-point shooter, as it would make him a more dynamic scoring threat. Coach Rose on Allen: “KJ is a versatile player who does a lot of valuable things on the court. Good rebounder who can guard all five positions. He’s a vocal, energy guy who excels at making the hustle playa and doing the dirty work. Allen finishes above the rim and inside the paint really well. Displays good footwork inside.” Allen proved to be an asset at camp and should be a vital contributor for Wilson this season.
#51: 6’3 ’27 Tristan Anderson (North Augusta)

Next, Tristan Anderson is a 6-foot-3 prospect in the Class of 2027. Clearly one of the most productive players on display, it was easy to be impressed with everything he showcased. Anderson is long, athletic, and polished. He’s able to apply scoring pressure from all levels but excels at attacking the basket in the open floor. Anderson utilizes his length well to be disruptive and force turnovers defensively. He filled it up as a scorer, both as a creator and off-ball threat. Next in his development process is working on getting stronger, as it would make him even more difficult for opponents to contain. Coach Rose on Anderson: “Tristan is a terrific athlete who breaks down defenses and finishes well at the rim. Good on-ball defender. Anticipates well to force turnovers and play above the rim in transition. Capable of filling it up in a variety of ways.” Anderson made a lasting impression at camp, securing a Top Performer award, and should be a focal point for North Augusta this season.
#60: 6’4 ’27 Jack Mevold (Philip Simmons)

Next, Jack Mevold is a 6-foot-4 prospect in the Class of 2027. He stood out as a very unselfish, high-motor piece who understands how to fill in the gaps on both ends of the floor. Mevold does a great job of hitting jumpers as a spot-up threat, but can attack closeouts and make the extra pass when available. He’s a scrappy defender and active rebounder who plays hard at all times. Next in his development process is working on getting quicker, as it would make him a more reliable defender along the perimeter. Coach Rose on Mevold: “Jack is a natural glue-guy who makes the right plays and operates within the flow of the team structure. Great catch-and-shoot threat. Knocks down jumpers at a nice percentage. Solid rebounder. Plays with great energy. Displays solid touch and footwork inside the paint.” Mevold enjoyed a quality showing at camp and has the tools to be a key piece for Philip Simmons this season.
#67: 6’5 ’28 Ricky Hood (Greer)

Next, Ricky Hood is a 6-foot-5 prospect in the Class of 2028. He played up an age group and found impressive production. Hood is long, explosive, and showed the ability to make plays with or without the ball in his hands. He excels in the open floor, but is more than capable of creating and applying scoring pressure in the half court. Hood is a capable perimeter shooter but is clearly at his best when getting downhill. He’s a scrappy defender and useful rebounder for his size/position. Next in his development process is working on the use of his off-hand, as it would make him a more complete player. Coach Rose on Hood: “Ricky is a super-athletic wing with great size and physical tools. Great finisher at the basket. Plays through contact and above the rim. Improving shooter from beyond the arc. Hit several midrange jumpers.” Hood highlighted a lot of appeal during camp and has all the tools to emerge as a notable prospect over the coming years.
#77: 6’8 ’26 Will Bush (Dorman)

Finishing up, Will Bush is a 6-foot-8 prospect in the Class of 2026. Given his motor, sturdy frame, and steady presence, he found ways to make an impact on both ends of the floor. Bush is a terrific finisher around the basket, but can also space the floor at a high percentage from beyond the arc. He carves out space well to secure position and control the glass as a rebounder. Bush also battles hard defensively and runs the floor hard in transition. Next in his development process is working on getting quicker, as it would make him a better defender when switching onto smaller guards. Coach Rose on Bush: “Will is a quality rebounder and pick-and-pop threat. Finishes well with both hands around the basket. Displays great touch inside the paint. Made threes off pick-and-pop or catch-and-shoot situations. Uses his body well to absorb contact.” Bush found success throughout camp and should be poised for a strong senior season at Dorman.
