Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Treymane Parker
Class: 2023
Committed to: NC State

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

“Parker certainly is fun to watch as a play-maker on the floor. We all know about his athleticism and how he can put on a show but Parker continues to show that he is a balanced scorer and can be a threat with his pull-up jumper from all levels.  Went for 24 points in the game and shot the ball well.”

“It’s an interesting exercise to ask coaches or bystanders what they think of Parker, because it’ll usually tell you a few things. If someone dares to say, “yeah, he’s athletic,” then it just means they’ve never actually watched him play. Parker possesses an incredible amount of talent with all the necessary physical tools to succeed at the highest levels. While he is a terrific athlete, his natural instincts and ability to overwhelm opponents from either guard position allow him to consistently shine in the spotlight. Parker is crafty, scores in various ways, and brings a highlight-reel level of excitement to seemingly every contest.”

“Three words that describe Trey are: confident, aggressive and athletic. I really loved how aggressive he was from the beginning of the game until the end. I think we all know how athletic he is. He is a human highlight film when he gets the ball in transition. I’m pretty sure he and Davis Molnar will have some unbelievable highlight plays this year. With this being said, he is a great cutter and has a knack for slipping behind the defense. Not only is he athletic, but he is a really good basketball player. On Saturday, he illustrated not only creating shots for himself but for his teammates as well. He knocked down multiple shots from the perimeter and finished the game with 17 points.”

“While Parker’s athleticism will take the headlines a lot of the time, I feel like people don’t talk about the other things he provides to his team while he is on the court such as his passing ability as he was able to find his teammates in the half-court as well as in transition today. He also put on display his acrobatic finishing ability as he was able to finish in several ways on both sides of the rim. I hope college coaches are taking notice of this kid as he is more than just a gifted athlete on the floor.”

“Parker is such a gifted guard and really is showing more of his overall feel for the game. Yes, he is explosive and his bounce is what immediately can grab your attention. But he continues to show that he can be a scorer from all levels, as well as make plays for his teammates. On several occasions, Parker attracts and gets the defense to collapse, as he then makes terrific passes to find his teammates for open shots. He has been quite a hot topic here over the last few weekends.”
