2028 Dylan Betts (Tru Colorado)
Betts was one we were eager to see again in action, as he will be regarded as one of the top prospects in his class. As a 7-footer, Betts continues to showcase his impact on both ends as well as his overall development. He looks bigger and stronger since last year watching him, more fluid and comfortable in operating in the post, and continues to flourish as a prospect who can control the paint defensively. With his unbelievable size and length, Betts continues to be a rim protector for his team. But offensively, he can finish with touch, display a strong understanding of how to operate in the post, and finish strong at the rim.
2027 James Black Jr. (SB Elite)
Black was a player who captured my eyes on a few occasions because you can see some flashes in his game. As a guard, he brings good overall size and playmaking ability, scoring and attacking well off the bounce, getting downhill consistently, and really putting pressure on the defense. Black gives you those flashes that allow him to be a strong scoring option with the ball in his hands, being able to create and break down defenders, and get to the rim well.
2027 Coby Helpley (Blazers 2027)
It was fun watching this guard in action on Day 2, as he was not only filling it up offensively but was the true go-to leader for his team. Even at his size, Helpley did a great job of bringing non-stop energy and hustle. He was crafty and creative with the ball in his hands, was able to get by defenders with ease to get paint touches, constantly moving and looking for offensive opportunities, and showcasing the ability to create his own shot along with good range. Even with team focusing on him, Helpley was able to fill it up as a multi-level scorer.
2029 Bronx Ganaway (KC Run GMC)
I have a feeling you are going to be hearing about this young man down the road for KC Run GMC. Standing around 6’7 early on as a 2029 prospect, Ganaway brings a ton of intrigue as a wing-type player in the coming years. He is comfortable in a variety of areas on the court, versatile on both the offensive and defensive end, can stretch the floor with his perimeter jumper, but also create and finish off the bounce. Again, for a player his size and his age, he offers a lot of potential in the coming years, and we believe college programs will be looking hard his way.
2029 Parker Nienkirk (DCBA Gold)
Over the first two days, Nienkirk was a favorite of mine to watch. A player that may not always get the attention he deserves, but I just love what he brought to the table for his team. A true playmaking guard that showcased terrific vision and court awareness, set up and found his teammates well, and was a scrappy offensive creator for himself. Time after time, he battled through defenders to create and attack off the bounce, finding opportunities to score as well as make high IQ reads to set up his teammates.
