6’7 ’18 Adafe Price (West Stanly HS)
Adafe Price is a bouncy, athletic wing that has enjoyed many glorious moments at the NC Top 80 and Phenom Hoops sponsored events. At the 13th Annual NC Phenom 150 camp held Sunday, October 9th at Proehlific Park in Greensboro, North Carolina, Price showcased an all around skill set and is blessed with an abundant of pure athleticism. Showcase events are usually the place where young prospect make their mark mostly on the offensive end of the court and yes Adafe Price did just that repeatedly game after game. Last year at the 12th Annual NC Phenom 150 camp, we stated, “Adafe has along frame and is matchup nightmare. He can work inside or out and is a very active rebounder with lock down potential on defense.” At the prestigious NC Top 80 event held this past March, we stated “Adafe showed great energy throughout the day. He rebounded and played aggressive defense, which is rarely seen at exposure camps.”
We were extremely impressed once again with the play of Adafe Price. Without question, Price was a disruptive influence at the NC Phenom 150 camp. Standing a lengthy 6’7 with an enormous wingspan, Price has superior lateral quickness and his long arms allow him to make steals and deflections during the course of the game. He has impeccable defensive instincts and did an outstanding job of anticipation of the passing lanes. While we didn’t keep statistics on rebounding, he had to be one of the camp’s leaders in that category. Price has a terrific feel of the game and is constantly getting his hands on rebounds and loose balls, not to mention his timing on blocking numerous shots. In today’s “score first” mentality, it’s refreshing to see players like Adafe Price play equally hard on both ends of the court and take personal pride in their defensive play. The theme is crystal clear, no matter the event, venue, or setting, one thing is for certain, and you can always expect great plays on both ends of the court. Price is a defensive stopper and is the camp’s Mr. Defense award winner.
