The Flight 22 Fayetteville 15U Squad found a way to come away with the 15U Bronze title over Truth Generation Elite at The Phenom G3 Showcase by the score of 59-44. The Flight 22 Fayetteville Squad was led by the 2022 trio of Malachi Travis (21 Points), Damien Robinson (13 Points), and Tristen Robinson (10 Points), but what was most impressive was this teams willingness to defend with passion and communicate with one another at that end of the court. Getting a big contribution from 2023 Cortez Moore (6 Points) off the bench was key in the victory as well, Moore showed the ability to play both guard spots and defend the point of attack really well. For Truth Generation Elite 6’0 2021 Jahan Owens (15 Points) was a huge bright spot, but his scoring ability wasn’t enough as Flight 22 Fayetteville came away with the win. The best prospect in this game (in my opinion) was 6’5 2022 Damien Robinson of Flight 22 Fayetteville with his ability to defend every position on the floor, attack the basket at will, and do it all while carrying a big strong frame that looks like it will develop really nicely in the coming years. He’s at Overhills High School and should be monitored closely moving forward, he has a chance to be special.
