HS Coach Evaluation:
Quivon is an athletic player with a very unique skill set. Quivon is a natural scorer. His ball handling skills are solid which makes him a threat to get to the basket. He also has a solid mid-range game to go with a respectable shot from the three point line. This combination of skills make him a consistent threat on offense. Quivon has grown defensively from his freshman to sophomore year. He has developed into an above average on-ball defender but his athleticism allows him the opportunity to become a perimeter defensive stopper. However he is still developing as a defender. Quivon is also a good rebounding guard. He is more of a scoring guard but quickly adapted and did a good job for us at the point guard position in his sophomore campaign which can only help his development as a complete guard. Quivon has a high ceiling and a calm demeanor. If his motor allows or meets his potential he will easily be mentioned in the same conversation with some of our areas top guards.

Coach Frank says:
Quivon Crittenden is a cerebral and athletic basketball player, advanced in his court awareness and extremely poised. He has the ability to see plays before they happen and his passing skills are evidence of a player with a natural basketball feel. He is a solid ball handler, manipulating defenses with strong ball handling and playmaking skills. He plays with great composure and patience, not at all rattled, is methodical in his approach. Quivon has a strong upper body and has a frame that suggests he will grow quite a bit, in fact he has put on just more than an inch over the summer! Quivon can shoot the three pointer, but he has the ability to get better shots because of his ability to get into the lane where he has a very consistent middle game. The fact that he is patient and reads defenses so well, he is able to create good shot opportunities for teammates as well as for himself. He does an excellent job feeding the post and passing in traffic. Defensively Quivon has a toughness, almost stingy demeanor and makes the offensive player work on every dribble as he keeps his hands active and really gets into the offensive players bubble. An excellent student in the classroom and a hard worker in skill development, Quivon’s upside is exciting. He is coming of an impressive series of team camps where he led upstart Wilson HS to the semi finals of the Heritage HS team camp and was dazzling in leading the Presidents to the finals of the Bishop Sullivan team camp and a near upset of the host Crusaders.
