Phenom Hoops continues to learn about the new talent around, and a player that we were highly intrigued in learning about was 2028 point guard Kenyon St. Louis at Winston-Salem Christian. We had seen the highlights and heard about his past achievements, so our scouts were excited to see what he could do now in North Carolina.

St. Louis didn’t disappoint with his showing. Our scout, Patrick O’Brien, had this to say about his game recently:

“St. Louis introduced himself to the state of North Carolina, as the Canadian point guard really impressed with his overall game at the Carmel Tip Off. He brings good positional size and is a good scoring option, but his composure, poise, and facilitating are what grabbed our attention. St. Louis plays with great pace and feel with the ball in his hands, making the right decisions, finding teammates well, and does a great job in picking his spots to attack offensively.  He clearly put himself in the discussion as one of the top point guards in the class for North Carolina.”

The Class of 2028 is already loaded with some talented point guards, including AJ Morman, Micah Gunter, Sherod McCormick, and others. But St. Louis may be in the discussion to surpass them all, or at least prove he is in the same discussion with all of them.  St. Louis really displayed a strong feel for the game at his age; he flourished in controlling the game, playing at a terrific pace and not being sped up, showing tremendous vision in finding his teammates, and makes the right decisions.  And then when you add his touch on his floater, his ability to defend at his size, and his shot-making from outside, St. Louis brings a lot to the table. And there is still potential within his game as he continues to adjust to the play here in the US.

St. Louis should be a sought-after point guard, as he already holds offers from Mississippi State, UNLV, High Point, Morgan State, Florida State, LIU, and Arizona State.
