Being on deck in Rock Hill for the USA Club Championships, Phenom Hoops had a great opportunity to learn several new names that are or will be national names down the road. One of the youngest players on display at the event was 2028 6’4 Adan Diggs with Arizona Unity but watching him play, one can see that this young man is something special.
Diggs has all the tools to be a high-major prospect and should be regarded as a high national player in the Class of 2028. He has a smooth feel and a strong understanding of the game, as he showed on countless occasions his feel, his ability to be an effective scorer from all levels, and his playmaking ability. Throughout the event, Diggs displayed the ability to make terrific reads, being an unselfish weapon on the court and showing patience to let the play develop. But he blended that in with his ability to be an assertive creator off the dribble, whether that was attacking and finishing at the rim or knockdown shots from multiple levels. Again, his feel for the game shines on the brightest of stages, and he is just starting his journey as a high school prospect. But it is clear that he is a special talent many will hear about in the coming years.
What Was Said:
“Diggs is going to be a national name quickly and he will be a hot commodity for college programs, as he already holds offers from several. The 6’4 prospect has an incredible feel for a player at his age, has a mature understanding of how to operate on the court and lets the game come to him. He shows tremendous patience and feel, making great reads, finding teammates, and being a strong scoring option whether off the dribble and creating or knocking down shots from various areas. Diggs is a true three-level scorer and has a high IQ for the game. Again, he looks to be a big-time national name that you will be hearing a lot about.”
