DJ Myers is an intriguing prospect in the Raleigh of North Carolina and one that could see his recruitment rise down the road.

Myers is a 6’5 small forward from Neuse Chrisitan Academy and one that Phenom Hoops got check out more at the NC Phenom 150 earlier this year.

He has all the tools and capabilites to be an elite prospect down the road, but it seems that one program has jumped on him early, as he earned his first offer from Western Carolina.

“Well first, I’m thankful to the coaching staff for extending the scholarship offer to me,” Myers told Phenom Report shortly after. “The coaches and staff have been on me for a while now. The first time they saw me was last fall and they had a strong interest ever since.”

“They said that they really like is my size with my scoring and passing ability from the wing,” he conitnued when asked about what the coaching staff said they liked about his game. “They also love my athleticism.”

But Western Carolina might not be alone in his recruitment as other programs like UNCG, Appalachian State, Yale, and Georgia have been in touch about the small forward from North Carolina.

As for his plans right now, Myers has been working hard on his game this offseason, while planning visits to schools such as Georgia and Yale.

“I’ve been working on ym jumper and my handles a lot this summer,” Myers said.

You can catch Myers on the road as he has been playing with Garner Road 16U this summer.
