2028 Niles Nelson (CP3)
Nelson is a player we have had a chance to watch over the years. He attracted our eyes early on and continues to do so, as I’m eager to see how he develops down the road. Nelson stands out with his size and mature frame at a young age, but he also displays a strong blend of athleticism, scoring, and versatility on the court. He can produce in getting downhill and finishing at the rim, but continues to show development in his outside game as well. With his size and frame, he brings a lot of value in several areas on the court, as this could be the start of a strong summer and upcoming season for him.
2028 Robert Grant (365 Running Rebels)
Grant was a new name for us, but watching him on several occasions throughout the event, Grant brought a lot of production to the court. He is a 6’3 big man that has size to back it up, as he can be an absolute force in the paint, bullying opponents with his size, finishing with touch around the basket, and just outworking his opponents. All throughout, he was just an unstoppable force, getting to his spots and playing hard on both sides.
2028 Justin Gray (Upward Stars)
Gray checks off a lot of early boxes that you have to like in a young prospect. He has good overall positional size, he plays with a high IQ and strong feel for the game and can flourish in a variety of ways offensively. When you watch Gray in action, his shot-making and range quickly grab your eyes, excelling in catch-and-shoot situations from behind the arc. However, he has continued to add more to his offensive repertoire, scoring strong off the bounce. He will be one who should be talked about more in the Class of 2028 down in SC.
2028 Porter Dickson (FBC Reign)
Dickson was another newer name for us at the event but he quickly caught our attention with his overall play. The 6’2 prospect was an absolute shot-maker with a quick release, not wasting any time and shooting the ball with range as well as confidence. He got to his spots well, moved without the ball, and also captured our attention with his court awareness and vision, facilitating well to other teammates.
2028 Eddie Cota (Cota Elite)
I’ve liked what I’ve seen from Cota over the last year, as he has maturing with his game and really flourishes as a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands. Cota excels when he has the ball in his hands, creating space with his crossovers and quick handles, creates well in breaking down defenders, and can keep opponents guessing in creating space from outside or attacking downhill. He is one that certainly should be a name to watch in the coming years as he adds more and continues to get stronger.
