6’4 ’28 Kaharri Coleman (West Charlotte)

In a heated battle against a noteworthy opponent, Coleman was arguably the best player on the floor. He’s an extremely dynamic athlete with a combination of speed, quickness, and explosiveness. When Coleman decides that he’s going to get to the rim, he’s basically unstoppable. This realization should become even more frequent as he begins to understand that virtually no defender can stay in front of him, especially on switches. Coleman aggressively looked to get downhill and attack whenever possible. He consistently found ways to set up others while finishing through contact and above the rim. Add in his engaged presence as a defender and rebounder, and it’s easy to see how he made a lasting impression.
6’4 ’28 Chacho Womack (West Charlotte)

Similar to his teammate above, Womack was undeniably impressive in this headlining contest. He’s an electric scorer with twitchy athleticism, polished creation skills, and the ability to fill it up from all levels. Womack only requires a split second to generate space for himself or blow by opponents off the bounce. He’s an excellent shot-maker, both from midrange and beyond the arc, with the ability to consistently get to his spots. Womack finishes well around the basket, but will only get better as he adds strength. He moves effectively without the ball to find opportunities as a spot-up threat. Womack also secured rebounds, made extra passes, and played passing lanes well defensively.
6’2 ’27 Judah King (Ambassador Christian)

There were several valuable contributors for the Lions, and King was as productive as anyone. In addition to providing his usual blend of steady playmaking, pesky defense, and low-maintenance presence, he also scored the ball with terrific efficiency. King scored at a frequent yet efficient rate from all levels to put this team in control. He penetrated well while actively hitting jumpers off the catch and bounce. King knows how to take advantage of his opportunities within the flow of the team structure, but is willing to assert himself as needed. He continues to shine as an x-factor for this group.
6’4 ’27 Jeremiah Franklin (Ambassador Christian)

Given all the ways he affects the game, it’s easy to appreciate how effectively Franklin operates as a glue-guy in every contest. He possesses a versatile game with the IQ, size, and skill to naturally cause matchup problems for opponents. Franklin finds a way to do a healthy amount of everything on the court. He’s comfortable initiating the offense and displays the necessary vision to set the offense or create for others. Franklin utilizes his strong frame and high motor to be a physical defender, active rebounder, and someone who is willing to do the dirty work. He’s another massive difference-maker for the Lions.
6’2 ’29 MJ McKinney (Hopewell)

Despite being the only freshman listed, McKinney already has a ton of appeal. He possesses a great frame with length, toughness, and quality feel on both ends of the floor. McKinney already appears comfortable operating as a primary creator or off-ball threat. He makes smart, unselfish decisions with the ball while still actively seizing scoring opportunities whenever possible. McKinney mixes it up well from all levels, rebounds his position, and defends with energy. His foundational array of tools should have folks enticed for his continued growth.
