It is crazy to think that just a few weeks ago, Phenom Hoops spoke to 2021 6’10 Will Henderson about his latest offer from Southern Utah. Since then, schools like Wake Forest, Howard, and Mount St. Mary’s have all joined in and more could be coming.
Henderson’s recruitment really started to be noticed when the new staff at Wake Forest offered, giving him his first high-major offer. But even with the offer and certainly one he will remember, not much has changed for the rising senior as he continues to stay focused on his game.
“There really isn’t a change,” he said when asked if there has been anything different since the latest offers coming in. “I’m thankful for everything that is happening but I still have to get better every day in the gym, working even harder to get prepared.”
“It was very exciting,” he replied about the Wake Forest offer. “Coach Forbes tells me he wants to rebuild and wants to win. All I have to do is work hard.”
Coach Childress has been his main contact from Wake Forest, as they speak almost every day and Henderson likes how the offense looks under the new staff.
The offers from Mount St. Mary’s and Howard came shortly after but he informed Phenom Hoops that he has been hearing from schools like Ole Miss, Princeton, Tennessee State, Murray State, UConn, and South Carolina, with Ole Miss, Tennessee State, and UConn being three that he has been talking to for some time now.
