6’6 Senior Faison Brock – Millbrook High School
Senior Faison Brock has been a familiar name around the Phenom Hoops market, as Millbrook standout has participated in several events in the past. Now, the young man is showing his flashes of talent for Millbrook, who sits at 20-1 this season.
Brock leads the team this season in points per game (15.1), rebounds per game (8.6), and steals per game (2.9), as the athletic has proven to be one of the go-to players for the Wildcats.
Earlier in the year, Millbrook participated in the Phenom High School Jamboree and here is what was said then about the talented North Carolina prospect.
Brock did all the dirty work, the things that many players just don’t enjoy doing. Jason Porter of All Star Preps stated, “Faison Brock, senior wing from Millbrook HS always looks smooth out on the floor. Kid deserves more looks, he can play!” James Blackburn of Basketball Elite stated, “Faison Brock is a 6’6” SR F from Millbrook HS who is athletic and rebounds the ball well.” Faison has an offer from Fayetteville State. Expect many D2s to come into play and expect D1s to start looking.
He now holds offers from Fayetteville State and Newberry, but is receiving interest from schools such as The Citadel and Lincoln Memorial. This young man has the length to play several positions at the next level, is solid on the boards, and can score in a variety of ways.
In his final season, Brock has been focusing on his game but also hoping to become a leader for the Wildcats, something he has proven.
“I’ve been focusing on becoming a more vocal leader and keeping my teammates focused throughout the season. Also, on my game, just trying to get stronger and keeping my shot consistent.”
Continue to watch Brock as they head down towards the end of the season, as the Wildcats are in prime position to make a run for a state title and Brock will be a huge part to the run.
“The main things Faison bring is length, gets his hands on everything defensively, great motor, attacks the rim offensively and the glass on both ends, great attitude, teammate and work ethic.”
