Lady Phenom Hoops had a wonderful time working with US Open Basketball in what was a tremendous overall experience and event. Teams from all over the country came to Rock Hill to compete, and there were a few names that really impressed our scouts with their play.
One of the best players on the court all throughout, and one that had our scouts talking after her play, was 2028 Belle Hill from Southern Starz and Mars Hill HS. After the event, our very own Patrick O’Brien had this to say about her game:
“Coming from Alabama, Southern Starz put on a show and was quite impressive all throughout the event. Hill was one of several players that had a strong showing, but Hill really impressed with her overall impact and team mentality. Whether it was scoring from multiple levels, attacking the boards, facilitating, or being a presence on both ends, she did a great job being that overall presence on the court for her team.”
Hill is a very strong prospect for her size, and you can see she understands the game at a high level, but the best is yet to come for her and her game. Hill simply makes an impact in so many places on the court, whether it is scoring, being strong in the paint, making plays off the dribble, distributing well, rebounding, and simply being that physical presence. She does a bit of everything on the court and at a high level, but it is going to be very interesting to see how she continues to develop her game. But make no mistake, Hill is going to be a name you will be hearing about a lot more.
