Greetings HS hoops junkies from across the snow covered Piedmont! The Great One is here after catching 15″ of snow to bring you his latest rankings! Last week saw big changes to the 5 and there is a new top team after then #4 North Meck took down #1 West Charlotte and #3 Marvin Ridge was ambushed at LIW list member Weddington. Surging East Meck and Myers Park have graduated to higher lists as the Eagles and Pony Express are soaring. We will now see all of the changes as this regular season is heading for a fantastic finish…… TO THE 5!!!!
1. MOORESVILLE 15-2 – THE BLUE DEVILS WERE IDLE LAST WEEK BUT HAVE A 3 GAME HOMESTAND HIGHLIGHTED BY A VISIT FROM THE LAKERS.
2. NORTH MECK 16-3 – THE VIKINGS TOOK DOWN WEST CHARLOTTE AT THE LIONS’ DEN, REMATCH AT CHAMBERS NEXT FRIDAY LOOMS.
3. CATHOLIC 17-3 – THE POPE’S FAVORITE TEAM WENT 1-0 LAST WEEK, BIG ROAD WEEK LOOMING AS THEY HAVE A “TRAP GAME” AT SUN VALLEY AND A RETURN MATCH AT MARVIN RIDGE FRIDAY.
4. WEST CHARLOTTE 15-3 – THE LIONS DROPPED ROUND 1 TO NEMESIS NORTH MECK, HAS 2 GAME HOMESTAND THIS WEEK.
5. MYERS PARK 13-6 – THE MUSTANGS ARE BACK ON THE “HOT SEAT” AT #5, HAVE 2 ROAD GAMES AND A REVENGE GAME AT HOME FRIDAY VS WEST MECK.
