Top-25 recruit Qayden Samuels has officially announced his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide, choosing the SEC program over Georgetown to continue his basketball career. Samuels, a 6-foot-5 small forward from Bishop McNamara (MD), ranks among the elite prospects in the Class of 2026 and had been weighing his decision between just those two schools.

Samuels brings a dynamic scoring skill set and high-level length to Alabama’s roster. Known for his shot-making ability, athleticism, and ability to impact both ends of the floor, he has consistently shown why he’s considered one of the nation’s premier wings in his class. His commitment adds a significant boost to Nate Oats’ recruiting efforts and strengthens the Tide’s outlook in an increasingly competitive college basketball landscape.

This commitment marks a big recruiting win for Alabama, further establishing the program as a destination for top-tier talent in the 2026 class.
