2024 Grant Hamilton (CC Elite): Hamilton had an excellent first LIVE period and came out strong once again at the Coach Rick’s TOC, once again showing his impact in being a knockdown shooter with range. On several occasions, he was able to get to his spots behind the arc and make the opponents pay from three. Hamilton shoots the ball with tremendous confidence and can be a big threat for his team.
2024 Jayden Pretty (Carolina Pressure): Pretty came out strong to start his week of basketball, really captured our scouts’ eyes with his impact on both sides of the court. The 6’6 forward has good footwork and a great motor, making an impact in a variety of ways, being active on the boards, moving well without the ball to create opportunities, and finishing with nice touch in the paint.
2024 Jason Asemota (Run the Citi): It was our first viewing of the 5-star prospect and it can easily be seen why he is regarded as one of the premier prospects in the country. At 6’9, he brings such a tremendous skillset to the table; he really showcased his ability to create his own shot and score over defenders well. But he also is incredibly versatile, long, and athletic as a prospect as well. Really enjoyed watching his presence on both ends, as he can be used in so many ways on the floor.
2023 Patrick Tivnan (Team HOPE): Talk about impressed; Tivnan really showed what he could do against a tough competitor. And I wouldn’t be surprised if more schools start getting involved with the 6’8 forward. But his ability to use his body and frame down low and battle in the post, but also step out, put it on the deck and create, and finish with craft, Tivnan really opened a ton of eyes and showed show skilled he is at his size.
2023 Micah Jones (Strong Center Hart): Jones had a big first LIVE period and he came out strong once again. Jones’ continues to display his speed, his court awareness, his ability to get paint touches, and his ability to be a playmaker on the court. He scored and was able to penetrate the defense well but also score in a variety of ways for his team. He continues to have a big summer for his team.
2023 Anthony Breland (Team EAT): Breland is a 6’4 physical prospect that really operates well in getting downhill, being a force, and finishing strong, but he also was able to knock down shots from a variety of levels or get to the line. Breland has a knack of getting the ball in the hoop, finding ways to score for himself, and he continued to show that on Day 1 for his team.
2022 Andre Wright (Team Speights): Wright really grabbed my attention with his play and how effective he was. He wasn’t the go-to scorer but he created a lot of havoc on the court, playing with a scrappy feel, was relentless and all over the place defensively, and was able to really shine as a playmaker with his handles and shiftiness with the ball in his hands.
2023 Cole Callaway (Riptide): Callaway looked to come out strong and make a statement on Day 1 and that he did, scoring early and often as he went for 25 points to lead his team. We know about his outside game but he was much more aggressive in getting downhill, embracing contact, and putting the pressure on the defense.
