2026 Deron Rippey Jr.
Rippey came out ready to roll, as the point guard averaged 21.5 points per game on Day 1 along with 5.0 assists. Rippey is such an intriguing point guard and continues to prove why he is in the discussion as the top point guard in the class, especially with his blend of pace and feel, his court awareness and vision, his ability to blow by defenders and attack the defense, and his scoring capabilities. Rippey showed range with his shot, along with his athleticism at the rim. But his overall ability to create was highly impressive, along with making some plays on the defensive end.
2026 Dylan Mingo
Mingo was highly impressive and showed why he is one of the best guards in his class. Averaging 29.0 points per game and 5.0 assists on Day 1, Mingo was able to showcase his full game and why he is such a difficult prospect to defend. At 6’6, Mingo has terrific scoring capabilities, using his length to get by defenders, attacks the paint, finishes with touch and feel around or at the basket, and can rise up over defenders with ease. But again, he was able to flourish as a true playmaker on the court while also making an impact in several other areas.
2026 Latrell Allmond
After watching Allmond play on Day 1, you would have to believe he is going to see a bit of an uptick in some rankings. He was really impressive with his overall impact on the court, as the 6’8 prospect was operating all over the court. Whether it was stretching the floor from behind the arc, scoring around the basket and operating in the paint, attacking the boards for second-chance opportunities, or making plays on the defensive end, Allmond did it all on Day 1 against some of the best out there.
2026 Qayden Samuels
Samuels started off the day in impressive fashion, posting a 33-point, 10-rebound double-double performance and then backed it up with a 19-point showing in Game 2. Samuels, who is a 6’6 prospect from Maryland, is a tough and strong prospect that showed he can fill it up. Mixing it up from outside as well as getting downhill, Samuels brings a physical feel that doesn’t look to back down from anyone. And again, he continues to show that he can fill it up on the court.
2026 Taylen Kinney
Kinney is one that I find very interesting to watch. You know he is going to look for his shots, but this is a guard that just plays with an energy that never dies. Kinney is always in attack mode, hunting out his next shot, creating space for his jumper and finding ways to hurt you from the perimeter, but also excels in attacking off the bounce to score. When watching him, though, it just seems that he is always in attack mode and never loses energy on the floor. He displayed his scoring capabilities, averaging 24 points per game on Day 1.
