6’3 ’28 Gary Grear (KOC)

It’s almost impossible to watch this KOC squad and walk away feeling anything other than impressed by Grear. He’s a natural leader who sets the tone through his IQ, production, and toughness. Grear shines as the focal point of their seamless offensive structure, typically operating as the main creator and scorer from all levels. He consistently creates for himself and others, but can find success without the ball as needed. Grear provides a physical defensive presence and secures rebounds at a solid rate for his size/position. Though somewhat unassuming at first glance, Grear is definitely the type of guy you want on your team.

6’6 ’26 Bakari Watkins (Wildcats Elite)

Although one could talk about several pieces on this Wildcats Elite roster, Watkins has appeal as a skilled 6-foot-6 post player with a sturdy frame and nice polish. He displays useful faceup ability and touch with both hands. Watkins can operate on the block or from the midrange area, but also appears comfortable rolling or popping as a screener. He rebounds at a solid rate for his size/position and battles to make his presence felt defensively. Watkins has the tools to be a useful piece at the next level.

6’2 ’26 Mikey Williams (BBB Elite)

The BBB Elite squad definitely impressed in their semifinal contest against Dub Salem, and Williams was arguably their most impressive guy. He’s such a consistently productive scorer from all levels. Williams is capable of creating for himself and others, or finding opportunities without the ball in his hands. He displays a quality handle and quick first step, which allows him to break down opponents and get downhill or pull up from midrange. Williams also shoots the ball well from beyond the arc. Add in his defensive energy and willingness to do the dirty work, and it’s easy to see his value.

6’5 ’26 Griff Simpson (Anthony Morrow Elite)

Though somewhat unassuming, Simpson is a guy college coaches should be getting to know. At 6-foot-5, he stood out as one of the most productive scorers in the building. Simpson is a solid creator who simply knows how to find and take advantage of scoring opportunities from all levels within the flow of the action. He’s a quality shooting threat, both off the catch and dribble, who moves well without the ball, effectively operates in the mid-post, and attacks nicely off the dribble. Simpson utilizes his size and length to consistently rebound the ball. He plays with toughness and scrappiness defensively.

6’6 ’27 Malachi John (Dub Salem)

There were several intriguing, developing prospects on display, which certainly includes John and his impactful two-way presence. He possesses nice size, length, and mobility with a useful motor and solid interior instincts. John understands how to make his presence felt through playing hard, working for extra possessions, and capitalizing on his chances within the flow of the action. It’ll be interesting to see how he develops, as he will be a name to monitor going forward.
