Phenom’s National Showcase Preview
6’2 2017 Lindell Wigginton of Oak Hill Academy – Committed to Iowa State
Iowa State’s commit Lindell Wigginton, who is originally from Nova Scotia Canada, led Oak Hill to a 42-1 record last year while winning Dick’s Nationals against La Lumiere in overtime on a buzzer beater victory. That season, he ended up averaging 16.4PPG while shooting 53% from the field.
When Oak Hill was on a journey to the Dick National’s Championship last year, Wigginton displayed his ability to attack the basket at will. Something that stood out about his game is that he was constantly in attack mode from the start. Phenom Hoops national analyst Jamie Shaw stated, “Lindell is able to get into the lane and when he does, he does a great job of distributing the ball.”
When Lindell committed to Coach Steve Prohm and Iowa State back in October, he gave us some of his thoughts on the program and how he fits in:
“I just felt it was right in my heart after my visit. I really liked my visit and I liked how the coaches were talking to me. The coaches and I have had a pretty good relationship since they first started. I know I can go in there and make an impact as a freshman.”
