Player: Kenny Hodges
Class: 2021
School: Winston Salem Christian PG
Height: 6’6
Position: Forward

Hodges is one that could be a nice piece at the next level for a program, as he brings great size at 6’6 and moves really well on the floor.  His athleticism stands out quickly on the floor, as he can make an impact on both ends.  Whether it is rebounding, finishing at the rim with power, or being a versatile defender, Hodges provides a lot of intrigue and continues to develop his feel on the court.

Right now, he holds an offer from St. Augustine University.  Check out what we had to say when we watched him at his open gym and a few mid-season highlights.  Also, see what Frank Bennett had to say back in 2016 about Hodges:

“Probably the best athlete on the team and one that schools could really work with.  Hodges looks to rip off the rim each time, showcasing his power and strong feel at the rim, while also using that same athleticism on the defensive end.  Can defend multiple positions on the court but is one that coaches can work with on more on the offensive end.” – Patrick O’Brien from Open Gym in 2020

“Kenneth Hodges is one of the most physically gifted players and more talented players in the 2020 class in Virginia. At 6’4, 175 and very athletic and mobile, Kenneth brings a great deal of strength and versatility in addition to his impressive frame. He has a 6’8 wingspan and puts it to good use around the basket as he is a solid paint presence both offensively and defensively. Kenneth rebounds both ends of the floor aggressively, boxes out consistently, and is quick off his feet to the basketball. He matches a strong frame and the willingness to play physical with elite athleticism and quickness. Kenneth runs the floor, outworks opponents inside, and has great hands, strong hands! He finishes around the rim and can hit the face-up jumper to 15 feet with good regularity. A two-sport star, Kenneth also plays football at Oscar Smith High School and has already attracted some attention from local colleges as his combination of athleticism, agility, strength, and size is intriguing given his age. He is extremely versatile in both sports and has a solid work ethic giving coaches in both football and basketball great reason for their excitement about his upside. He’s an athlete and his coaches are convinced he could excel at any sport he decides to play, he’s a special talent.” – Frank Bennett in 2016
