School: Christ the King

Phenom Hoops continues to look at teams around the state as we get the season underway. The next program that we are looking at is Christ the King, a program that is coming off a strong 11-3 season but came up short in the first-round of the playoffs.
Now, Coach Clapp is looking to get back in the playoffs but with some key losses, it will be interesting to see who will step up for the team this year. The lone returning starter from last year will be 2022 Parker Clapp, a 6’2 guard that did a little bit of everything on the floor. After averaging 5.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game, will he be able to step his game up even more' As far as other returning players, 2022 Jessie Filiault comes back after averaging 3.5 points and 2.1 rebounds. 2022 Dillon Kocher is another that will be coming back.
As far as newcomers for this team, 2022 6’4 Andrew Baich should certainly help with his size. He comes from Lincoln Charter and should be a big piece for this team. Also look for Lake Norman Charter transfer 2023 Nolan Stern, a 6’3 guard.
Though Christ the King will need players to step up in a big way, Coach Clapp should have this team prepared each and every night.
