There may not be a team that lost so much from last year than Charlotte Christian. The roster was loaded with experienced seniors and talent at every position, that helped secure a 27-2 overall record.

Now, a few names return but there are a few new, young names to watch out but that doesn’t mean this will be a rebuilding year. Charlotte Christian looks to be a sneaky team that will look to compete but also be set up for the future to make another potential run.

Check out the roster for this upcoming season from Phenom Hoop Report.

Senior Leadership roles filled:

2020 6’6 Peter Lash

Lash played in 27 games last year and averaged 7.8 points per game, so he knows his role for this team. However, the team will depend on him stepping up to the challenge as being a go-to scorer this year. He has been receiving a lot of DIII interest and others are looking at him as well, as the versatile forward shoots the ball incredibly well from three (51 percent last year). His ability to be a spot s=up shooter is very intriguing and he will be depended on being a vocal leader on the floor and get on the boards this year for Charlotte Christian.

2020 6’5 Luke Drees

Another prospect with a little size, the senior wing has the ability to be a facilitator on the floor, a secondary ball-handler, and one that can stretch the floor and knock down mid-range shots. He simply is a producer as well as a leader for this team this season.

2020 6’2 Logan Jones

Jones is simple an athlete for this team, as he plays football, basketball, and track. He has fantastic speed on the floor and can be that main ball handler as a starter. He is a great passer as his vision is spectacular and he is a lean guard. He was critical last year and will be a senior leader this year.

Young prospects to watch:

2023 6’3 Bryce Cash

Only a freshman, Cash already understands that he will need to step up and have the ability to play at a high level immediately. Sporting a great frame early on, Cash is a competitor on both ends of the floor. He has that mindset that he isn’t afraid of the moment, as he poised and a hard worker on the court. Cash could be one of the primary ball handlers for this year’s team but he is a freshman to really keep an eye on.

2023 6’0 TJ Hardy

Playing with Team Loaded this season, Hardy played against some solid talent and it helped his development. Only a freshman, he has a tight handle, is strong, and is a true point guard, providing solid depth at that position.

2023 6’2 Cade Nicholson

A football player, Nicholson is a fundamentally sound prospect that coaches are excited about. He simply does it all according to the coaching staff, as he can shoot it and always seems to be in the right spot. His mother also was a player with Wofford, so he also has the family genes.

2022 G Gavin Peach: Still young and developing his game, Peach certainly brings shooting capabilities for this team. He just has to continue to grow in his confidence and into his role for this team.
