DJ Burns has been a solid big man since Day 1 and his game has continued to improve. He now stands at 6-foot-9 and has comparisons to Zach Randolph.

Burns is a lefty, has nice touch around the rim, rebounds well, and can be a physical presence down low in the paint for York Prep; not to mention that he is part of the 2019 class and has room to grow and develop.

Right now, Burns holds several offers from South Carolina State, College of Charleston, Virginia Tech, LSU, North Florida, Western Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Western Carolina, Davidson, North Carolina A&T, Winthrop, and Tulane.

He also recently took an unofficial visit to North Carolina, while also visiting a few others as well.

Burns recently participated in the South Carolina Top 80, where he was Mr. Top 80. This is what Phenom Hoops had to say about him after his performance.

“Burns was voted MVP of the entire camp. The lefty showed to be a load on the block, with advanced footwork and great touch. Burns’ camp coach Pete Ellis stated, “DJ was the MVP of camp and a great player to coach. I will enjoy watching him on TV.” Burns is being recruited at the highest level, and that should continue.”

Check out Burns and several other players at the National Showcase on November 11-12.
