What Was Recently Said: After undergoing as much roster turnover as any program in the state, Wildcats Elite still stand strong behind their main guy in Woodall. He’s a big, strong-bodied wing who initially built a reputation for his perimeter shooting but has since expanded his game. Woodall has shown the ability to conduct the offensive action with the ball in his hands, displaying patience as an initiator while constantly finding ways to apply scoring pressure. He’s able to create his own shot and assert himself from all levels, but is still at his best when picking his spots as an off-ball threat. Woodall is a useful defender and rebounder who utilizes his body decently well on both ends of the floor. Expect schools to continue getting involved during his upcoming season at Jordan High School.

What To Expect:

While his junior season averages might not pop-off the page, some context quickly reaffirms the value that Walker Woodall brings to a team. The context is playing within a loaded roster and alongside guys like Clash Peters, Jayan Walker, Dawson Edwards, and multiple other notable names. Woodall showed a consistent willingness to accept and embrace whatever role necessary for the betterment of the team. His value as a spot-up threat alone was enough to force opponents to stay attached at his hip at all times. That being said, the summer season allowed for folks to see the entirety of Woodall’s game and everything he can bring to the table. Though capable of excelling in a spot-up role (mentioned above), Woodall is certainly capable of far more than being a standstill shooter. He’s a knockdown threat from anywhere beyond the arc, both off the catch and dribble, and scored the ball at a healthy rate from all levels while leading Wildcats Elite. Woodall is a useful passer who knows how to locate open teammates, move without the ball, and reposition himself to spurn the opposition. Add in his presence as a defender and rebounder, and it’s easy to see his game translating to the next level. If Woodall continues refining his body, various types of scholarship-level coaches will surely get involved.
