Nothing like Championship Sunday, as teams looked to cap off a terrific weekend of basketball in Rock Hill with a little hardware from the Phenom G3 Showcase. Overall, the competition was fantastic and players came to compete, as we recap each championship showdown from the event.
Down in the 13u Division, it was Team Triad Hornets and Crown Academy battle it out on the court. Both teams had played well but it was the Hornets that came out strong in the first half, staying aggressive, attacking the basket and getting to the line, or knocking down outside shots to help them out to a 38-19 lead at halftime. They simply continued their stellar play throughout the second half to cruise to a 64-42 victory in the end. Kash Hayes had a strong outing for Crown Academy 7th.
