The Winter Nationals with Phenom Hoops is one of the best events to start the season because we not only kick off the travel ball season in a big way, but we also get a chance to see the future around the country. So many players came through the doors this past weekend and left a lasting impression, as we dive in and break down many of their games.

There is no doubt about it, Phenom Hoops and many others will be having their eyes on 2029 6’8 Grant Duggins from Team CP3 and Greensboro Day.  At the event, you can see the potential in this young big man, as he was able to be a dominant presence down in the paint with touch, finishing ability, and poise in the paint but he also is comfortable in other areas a 6’8. Duggins understands how to stretch the floor, makes strong passes in transition and from the paint, moves well without the ball and finishes with touch, and impacts the game on both the offensive and defensive side.

There is a lot to like about this young man who just finished his eighth-grade year at Greensboro Day, and it will be intriguing to see how he continues to grow and develop.

What Was Said:

“6’8 ‘29 Grant Duggins (Team CP3) is a walking mismatch. Already possesses a unique level of skill and fluidity for his size. Rebounding, blocking shots, and throwing outlet passes on a dime. Quality finisher and floor-spacer who can attack off the bounce.”

“2029 Grant Duggins’ (CP3 EYBL) skillset and overall feel is nearly unprecedented for his size and age, comfortable in inside-out dual roles with his mobility and handle, capable playmaker and brilliant rim protector utilizing his length to wall up.”
