Early Standouts at Day Three of Phenom Queen City Showcase

6’2 ’21 Collin Mills (Team Vision) There’s a lot to like about Team Vision, especially when Mills is effectively leading the charge on both ends of the floor. He’s a great defender with quickness and positioning, which allows him to frequently force turnovers and get out in transition. Mills typically works more as a penetrator but knocked down numerous difficult jumpers throughout this showing....

Coach Rick’s Two Biggest Misses

Coach Rick’s Two Biggest Misses It was a great weekend of hoops at the Phenom Queen City Showcase. Over 120 teams participated and the amount of talent was simply off the charts. Evening Standouts at Day Two of Phenom Queen City Showcase

6’6 ’20 Garreth Edgecome (Defenders Elite)  The unsigned senior was easily one of the more impressive performers throughout this contest. Edgecome caught heat early on and was able to consistently assert himself as a spot-up threat. He has great size and length, but also understands how to embrace his role without forcing the action on offense.  6’4 ’21 Camren Little (Charlotte Nets...

Early Standouts at Day Two of Phenom Queen City Showcase

6’1 ’21 Joshua McClary (Charlotte Nets) It should come as no surprise that McClary stood out once again for the Nets, as he clearly possesses the makings of a next-level prospect. Though he has a pretty complete skillset, it’s his leadership and overall understanding of the game that makes him so impressive. McClary displays a very natural, instinctual feel on both sides of the ball, and...

Evening Standouts at Day One of Phenom Queen City Showcase

6’0 ’21 Khalil Brantley (Mint Hill Lakers) There should be no disputing the notion that Brantley was the most utterly dominant performer from this contest. He’s a compact guard with quickness, craftiness, and the ability to generate shots (and convert) from anywhere on the floor. Brantley gets downhill whenever he wants, displays great athleticism, and makes a ton of plays in transition. ...

Miles Magical Five: #PhenomQCShowcase Early Day One

6’2 2022 Nik Graves: Garner Road 3SSB 2022/Greensboro Day School Graves plays the perfect role for his skillset on this G Road club and its obvious in the way he produces while running the team to near perfection. He minimizes mistakes, gets his guys in position to succeed, and makes great decisions with the ball in his hands. He showed the ability to get above the rim while also having an...

Early Standouts at Day One of Phenom Queen City Showcase

6’2 ’22 Marcus Farley Jr. (Team Together) Despite a lot of surrounding talent, Farley was arguably the best player on the court. He led by example, controlled the offensive action, and made numerous plays on defense. Although Farley is a noted athlete, it was his savvy and attention to detail that really stood out during this contest. His vision and ability to set others up was undeniably...
