Coming to Fort Mill:
Neibch is a new name around the area but is putting up some terrific stats, as you can see above. Beforehand, Neibch attended Batavia high school in Illinois, a suburb about 45 minutes away from Chicago. There was a little adjustment with the move but it seems that he has handled it pretty well so far and has adjusted to the talent down in SC.
“It has been about the same I feel like,” Neibch told Phenom Hoops. “Obviously, there is a lot of talent that comes out of the Chicago area but overall, I would say not much different from each other… The season has been great, we’ve had our ups and downs but hoping to end the season with a couple more wins and see if we can make the playoffs. Finally starting to feel like I’m at home after the move down here.”
Game Breakdown:
As his game has developed, Neibch would say that he has been able to put an all-around scoring game on the floor and not just be a three-point shooter.
“I think it is known that I can shoot the ball with the best of them,” he said. “But I started to learn my freshman and sophomore years on varsity that I have to do more than just be a 3-point shooter in high school. Especially getting tagged and face-guarded the whole game. So this last offseason, I’ve been working a lot on being able to create shots off the dribble and change speeds and being decisive with my movements because I know I’m not going to be as fast as everyone on the court. That will allow me to get off shots easier. That is kind of how my game is starting to evolve right now and getting to the foul line for some easy points.”
