Down at Pine Forest high school, 2023 6’4 Isaiah Washington quickly made a name for himself as a freshman this past season. Showing to be a tremendous scoring guard with size, Washington averaged nearly 16 points and 5.5 rebounds per game last season.

He scored all over the court, showing that he can be a knockdown shooter, create for himself with his length, and be a good slasher to finish strong around the rim. Every time he stepped on the court this summer, he was a bucket; just continuing to show what he did during the season.

“This summer went well,” Washington told Phenom Hoops.  “I’m just blessed I got a chance to play and get my name out there more with everything going around.  I could really tell all the work I’ve been putting in is paying off but I really wanted to show that I can do everything on the floor and be a two-way scorer.”

When asked about his game, Washington would continue to say that he is a three-level scorer, one that can operate with or without the ball but also create for others when he is the primary ballhandler.  He feels that his game continues to work well within any offensive system.

Though college programs haven’t started to come his way yet, Washington has a lot of intrigue with his blend and game on the court, which should start attracting the attention of college coaches down the road. He is certainly one you will want to start tracking if you haven’t already.
