Looking back at the Phenom Lady Rumble not long ago, we had a great opportunity to watch 2023 Cassidy Geddes on the court for Lady Attack National.  Some may recognize that name and others may not, but here is your chance to her out more!  She is one of the top guards in the state for the Class of 2023 and is coming off a season in which she posted incredible numbers at Newton-Conover High School.  Helping her team to a 24-3 overall record, Geddes averaged an astonishing 21.2 points per game, 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 steals, and 4.3 assists per game. And when we got a chance to see her in action in Concord, it was easy to see why she is becoming a target for many programs.

Quickly, here is what was said about her after the event:

“2023 Cassidy Geddes (Lady Attack National): Geddes was another fan favorite of mine. Every time she was on the court, she produced and showcased how big of a playmaker she can be. She is coming off a terrific high school season at Newton-Conover and is bringing it here with Lady Attack. Her ability to create her own shot or find her teammates was fun to watch, along with her IQ and feel. Geddes was terrific with her ball-handling, showing how shifty she can be and how dynamic she is in the open floor.”

We recently got in touch with her to let her break down more of her game and update us on her recruitment, as offers have been starting to pour in for the 2023 guard. Check out what she had to say.

Phenom: How has everything started off for you this summer'
Geddes: It is ok. Everything has been good so far. I feel I have really been playing well and I think it is really making my recruiting pick up some.

Phenom: How would you best describe your game'
Geddes: I would say I play a very versatile game. I have really developed my ability to score in multiple ways at all three levels.  On the defensive side, I really pressure the ball and generate a lot of turnovers, which I can turn into points.  Also, my high basketball IQ allows me to make plays for my teammates.

Phenom: What has been your focus this summer in showing more about your game'
Geddes: I have really been expanding my dribble game and working on my ability to get into different shots.  I also have been working to refine my finishing moves so I can be even more efficient at the rim.

Phenom: How has everything been going with Lady Attack'
Geddes: I have really enjoyed playing for the Lady Attack program.  They have helped me develop as a player and I have had the opportunity to play with some amazing teammates.  Also, having coaches that really push us allows us to continue to elevate our game.

Phenom: How has your recruitment been going' Been picking up a few more offers.
Geddes: My recruitment has gone well. After these last couple of tournaments, more schools have been reaching out to me. I expect to continue playing well and hope to get more opportunities as the summer goes on.

Phenom: What have the schools been saying your way in what they like about your game'
Geddes: Most coaches have expressed that they like that I am a two-way player.  They have also said they find it valuable how I can get into the paint and make plays either for myself or for others.

Phenom: What offers do you currently hold and do any of those schools stand out'
Geddes: I have offers from Winthrop, Anderson, Lenoir-Rhyne, UNC-Asheville, and UNC-Pembroke. I have received interest from Cornell, Elon, High Point, Campbell, Marshall, Albany, Longwood, UIC, Mercer, Furman, and Queens. I want a school that allows me to compete in a highly competitive academic and basketball environment.

Phenom: Have you been able to visit any schools'
Geddes: Only a couple because my schedule has been busy.  I plan on visiting more schools this summer.

Phenom: Which ones have you been able to visit and anything stand out'
Geddes: I’ve been able to visit Lenoir-Rhyne, Anderson, UNC-Asheville, and High Point. I also went to a few other camps last summer where I got to visit schools. I’m visiting Queens and looking forward to many more visits. I am hoping to visit Georgetown, Northwestern, Albany, UIC, Marshall, and Cornell. I am still really open to possibilities.
