6’2 junior Carter Collins of East Chapel Hill High School has been on the Phenom Hoop Report radar for the past two years. This past season for East Chapel Hill High School, Carter averaged 22.7 PPG and 2.9 APG. More importantly, he sports an amazing 3.9 GPA and an offer from Columbia out of the Ivy League. In speaking with his travel ball coach Rob Sinclair, he stated over a dozen teams have reached out to him and will be watching him during the April “Live Period.” Princeton and Yale from the Ivy League has show a lot of interest along with ECU, Elon, Navy, Davidson, Furman, Wofford and Liberty.

Carter is a quick and athletic scoring PG that changes speeds nicely in the frontcourt. While he is best at scoring off the dribble, he has excellent court vision and passing skills. We’ve been impressed with his high basketball IQ and knowledge of the game. Carter is very creative with the ball in his hands and has a nifty one hand cross over and a patented step back move off the dribble.

Carter does have a quiet demeanor and is such a humble young man off the court. He is a model citizen and high character prospect and should garnish tremendous interest from high academic institutions. Carter can be seen at the Spring Hoop Fest and the Grassroots TOC in April.
