Coach: Ashleigh Fuller

#3: 5’3 ’28 Sidney Ferguson (White Oak)

Starting off, Sidney Ferguson is a 5-foot-3 prospect in the Class of 2028. Although she was the smallest camper on this team, she regularly found ways to make contributions on both ends of the floor. Ferguson possesses a tight handle with great vision and feel as a playmaker. She touches the paint at a consistent rate and locates open teammates extremely well. Ferguson is a pesky defender whose nonstop motor allows her to overwhelm opponents. Next in her development process is working on her consistency as a three-point shooter, as it would complement her penetration game nicely. Coach Fuller on Ferguson: “Sidney is very coachable. She displays quality court vision and moves the ball well. Can be a threat offensively when aggressive. Plays with great energy. Looks to get teammates involved in the action.” Ferguson enjoyed a quality showing at camp and should be a key piece for White Oak over the coming years.

#21: 5’6 ’28 Taylor Darden (South Garner)

Next, Taylor Darden is a 5-foot-6 prospect in the Class of 2028. Between her tenacious defensive prowess and well-rounded skillset, she caused a variety of problems for opponents. Darden is a skilled, athletic guard with terrific quickness and penetration ability. She’s able to break down opponents and touch the paint at will, where she’s a capable finisher and passer, but can also knock down open jumpers. Additionally, Darden wreaked havoc with her high-motor defensive presence. She suffocated opposing ball-handlers and anticipated well to force turnovers in the passing lanes. Next in her development process is working on the use of her off-hand, as it would make her a better creator against pressure. Coach Fuller on Darden: “Taylor is very quick and can get to her spots. She’s able to finish through contact. She was able to feed the post out of the pick-and-roll action. Taylor is a defensive pest on the ball.” Darden made a strong impact during camp and should be a difference-maker at South Garner going forward.

#34: 5’7 ’28 Armani Clemons (North Mecklenburg)

Next, Armani Clemons is a 5-foot-7 prospect in the Class of 2028. She showcased a terrific understanding of how to actively fill in the gaps on both ends of the floor. Clemons is a well-rounded player who can do a little bit of everything on the court. She’s a capable creator, passer, and scorer who can make plays with or without the ball in her hands. Clemons made hustle plays and positioned herself well to compete for rebounds. Next in her development process is working on getting quicker, as it would make her a more dynamic threat off the bounce. Coach Fuller on Clemons: “Armani is a solid rebounder who moves well without the ball. She showed spurts of aggression but needs to assert herself better. Made some plays defensively and in transition.” Clemons highlighted several intriguing qualities throughout her time at camp and should only continue to trend upward for North Meck.   

#40: 5’8 ’28 Lola Vanore (Grace Christian)

Next, Lola Vanore is a 5-foot-8 prospect in the Class of 2028. Arguably the most impressive camper on this team, she was able to dominate opponents in all facets of the game. Vanore is a smart, all-around guard with a nonstop motor, unselfish approach, and the ability to make plays for herself and others. She displayed excellent polish as a creator but also has the vision and willingness to set up teammates whenever possible. Vanore scored with efficiency from all levels, moved well without the ball, and consistently made her presence felt as a defender. Next in her development process is working on her involvement as a rebounder, as it would make her a more complete player. Coach Fuller on Vanore: “Lola is an exceptional athlete. Makes the right basketball play almost every time. Very vocal and gets teammates involved. Moves the ball very well. Great personality, very coachable.” It’s clear that Vanore stood out as a leader during camp and should be poised for a notable upcoming season at Grace Christian.

#57: 5’9 ’28 Majesty Cutting (Ardrey Kell)

Next, Majesty Cutting is a 5-foot-9 prospect in the Class of 2028. Given her array of tools, it’s easy to see Cutting’s upside. She did a nice job of producing within the flow of the action and taking advantage of her opportunities. Cutting plays hard and utilizes her length to be disruptive defensively and on the glass. She’s an unselfish offensive player who knows how to make the extra pass and attack as needed. Cutting is willing to outwork opponents for extra possessions. Next in her development process is working on the use of her off-hand, as it would make her a more complete player. Coach Fuller on Cutting: “Majesty needs to keep working to increase her overall skillset. Needs to get stronger and work on hand-eye coordination. She’s a good teammate with a positive attitude and approach to the game.” Cutting enjoyed a solid showing at camp and should only continue to progress for Ardrey Kell over the coming years.

#63: 5’10 ’28 Olivia Lewter (Grace Christian)

Next, Olivia Lewter is a 5-foot-10 prospect in the Class of 2028. She excelled as a low-maintenance option who maximized her presence on both ends of the floor. Lewter utilizes her high motor to routinely outwork opponents for rebounds and extra possessions. She’s a capable scoring option who runs the floor well in transition. Lewter battles well to make an impact defensively. Next in her development process is working on getting quicker, as it would make her a better defender against smaller guards. Coach Fuller on Lewter: “Olivia is a great rebounder with a strong frame. Secures good position and boxes out well to maintain her presence on the glass. Finishes well in the paint. Showed a solid jumper in drills and station work. Great teammate with a positive approach to the game.” Lewter did a variety of things well during camp and should be a key piece for Grace Christian this season.

#80: 6’2 ’28 Jaiya Crowder (Cannon School)

Next, Jaiya Crowder is a 6-foot-2 prospect in the Class of 2028. Given her legitimate size and intriguing array of skills, it’s easy to see her appeal. Crowder is a strong, polished interior piece with the ability to finish through contact, rebound at a high volume, and block or alter shots defensively. She moves well without the ball to find scoring chances as a cutter or spot-up threat. Crowder impacted the game on both ends of the floor. Next in her development process is working on getting quicker, as it would make her a better defender when switching onto perimeter players. Coach Fuller on Crowder: “Jaiya possesses a very athletic frame. She’s a solid finisher around the basket with a great shooting stroke, which allows her to take what the defense is giving her. Capable of mixing it up from multiple levels. Coachable. Good teammate. Plays with consistent energy and displays unselfishness on offense.” Crowder found success during her time at camp and should be a major difference-maker for Cannon over the coming years.

#130: 6’4 ’28 Emma Fuller (Providence)

Finishing up, Emma Fuller is a 6-foot-4 prospect in the Class of 2028. It doesn’t take long to recognize her incredible physical tools and blossoming skillset. Fuller is a mobile athlete with excellent size, a nonstop motor, and the ability to impact the game in various ways. She utilizes her massive frame to physically overwhelm opponents on both ends of the floor. Fuller runs the floor properly in transition and finishes well around the basket. She maintains a consistent presence on the glass and alters shots with her length defensively. Next in her development process is working on getting quicker, as it would make her a better defender along the perimeter or in screen actions. Coach Fuller on Fuller: “Emma has a huge frame. Will be a top Division I talent. She needs to get stronger, but already a solid big on both ends of the floor. Will be able to extend her range soon.” Fuller highlighted a lot of continued growth at camp and has all the tools to emerge as a notable prospect sooner than later.
