One player that has been gaining a lot of attention in the central part of the United States is 2018 Quentin Grimes from College Park High School in Texas. Grimes is a 6’4 shooting guard that has been gathering several offers, especially ones from the Big 12.
His latest came from Oklahoma State, as he talks about the offer from the Cowboys and provides us with a recruitment update.
“They’ve really just enjoyed watching me play and want to keep recruiting me and try to come up for an unofficial visit sometime soon,” Grimes said about the Oklahoma State offer.
He also informed us that he holds offers from Texas A&M, Tennessee, Rice, Tulsa, Texas, Baylor, Oklahoma, Kansas State, and Utah State right now and they are really liking how his game is progressing.
“They like how I control the game and at my size, how I can handle, pass, shoot, and make plays,” he said. “I feel I can provide leadership and just a winning mentality to do anything for my team in order to win.”
Holding double digit offers, Grimes admits there are a few programs showing stronger interest in him as of late. “Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Tulsa,” he said have been the programs coming on him hard. However, he does not have any visits planned yet but could possibly take some near the end of the AAU season.
Last season, Grimes played in 34 games and led the team in scoring, averaging 16.6 points per game a sophomore, while also gathering 5.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.
