6’5 Jim Gatehouse (South Meck)

There are so many players who have trended up throughout the recent months, but Gatehouse has arguably generated as much buzz as anyone. He’s long, skilled, and explosive with excellent positional size. Gatehouse is a versatile piece whose size, creation ability, and scoring prowess from all levels make him a matchup problem for opponents. He’s a lethal shooter with the ability to attack off the bounce and apply pressure above the rim. Gatehouse sees the floor well as a passer and looks to make the right play with the ball in his hands. His size and athleticism make him a useful defender who can force turnovers and make plays in transition. Gatehouse should only continue to trend upward.

6’4 Kellum Brown (New Hanover)

The fact that Brown is the third New Hanover product listed (second in 2026, third overall) should only further explain the Wildcat’s yearly dominance. Arguably one of the most consistent players throughout the summer season, Brown always seems to produce. He’s a very smart, well-rounded player who scores the ball at an efficient rate from all levels. Brown attacks the basket and knocks down three-pointers, but is arguably at his best in the midrange. Regardless, he mixes it up well to keep defenses guessing and sets up others at a solid rate. Add in his steady presence as a defender and rebounder, and it’s easy to see Brown being a target for a variety of different programs.

6’6 Khaleil Walters (Clayton)

Rounding out this group, Walters is a guy who continues to turn heads despite being somewhat overlooked by college coaches. He’s a big, extremely explosive wing/forward with legitimate size and a strong frame. Walters is a powerful athlete who excels in transition and applies constant pressure on the rim. He finishes through tons of contact and shows the ability to attack off the bounce or knock down the open jumper. Walters is able to switch across multiple positions defensively and rebound the ball at a quality rate for his size/position. If he continues to tighten up his shot and handle, Walters will certainly outperform expectations.
