We just brought you an early preview of Team Charlotte 16u, as it is a team full of young and rising talent that many will be looking at this summer.  But now, we head to Coach McInnis’ Team Charlotte 17u team, seeing what they bring to the table as we got a glimpse of their team early on at the Phenom March Madness.

Starting off, 2024 6’5 Austin Swartz and 2024 6’5 Braylhan Thomas will be two familiar names for many around the area and should be considered two of their go-to players on the team early on. Swartz is a high IQ, knockdown shooter with great size while Thomas brings a nice blend of physicality, shooting, and two-way presence to the court (and has only continued to get better). 2023 Tazir Smith is a new name for some, but the 6’5 prospect brought tremendous energy to the team, especially on the defensive end, as well as his ability to finish at the rim. 2023 Khamani Wertz brings his shooting stroke to the team, especially from deep while 2023 Jahmir Brown brings that point-guard mentality along with that dog presence on the defensive end.

2023 Darius Abraham came out strong, as the 6’3 prospect impacts the game in a variety of ways with his strong build and his presence on both ends of the court.  And now looking at the size, you start with 2023 6’10 Kaleb Siler, who continues to get better, is coming off a state championship, and has great touch and instincts on the glass.  2023 Patrick Tivnan will be another that catches your eye, especially with his versatility, his skillset and footwork, and ability to step out and put it on the deck.  And then lastly, you have 6’7 Prince Johnson, who brings length and can impact the game in the paint and on the boards.

Team Charlotte 17u has several familiar faces on the court with a nice blend of experience, as coaches will certainly be out to check them in action this summer.
