Player: Nordin Kapic
Class: 2022
Height: 6’8
Position: Forward
School: The Skill Factory

Looking at another prospect from our weekend in Rock Hill for the Phenom PG Nationals, 2022 6’8 Nordin Kapic was certainly an instant attraction with his play on the court. The senior big man gained our scouts’ attention when he first went off for 25 points to help lead his team, showing his fluid skillset on the court.

Our own Tyler Lewis was impressed with his strong, physical frame at 6’8, battling well down low in the paint and on the glass.  Jeff Bendel and I were just as impressed with his fluid and smooth shot-making ability as a big, stretching the floor and scoring with his mid-range game.  You add that all to go along with his touch, his motor, and ability to absorb contact, Kapic was a popular name to start the event on Day 1. Though his recruitment hasn’t really taken off with a few D1 and D2 schools showing interest, he could be a name to remember.

We spoke more about Kapic with Coach Eftim Bogoev who is the TSF National PG head coach, to learn more about his thoughts on his game and what he has seen, as he had this to say.

“Great IQ who knows the game (good fundamentals) and system player and a good motor. Still room to improve his athleticism. But he can put it on the floor and create his own shot and also push the ball in transition. He can stretch the floor and looks great in the high post and pick & pop situations.”
