Standouts/ Player Notes:
East Surry
- 2026 Carter Motsinger: I really liked what I saw from the guard overall on the court, whether it was his ability to score or facilitate. On several occasions throughout the game, Motsinger did a nice job in finding teammates to create scoring opportunities or he found was to attack and look for his shot.
- 2027 JB Davis: A 6’3 prospect, Davis stepped up as an offensive weapon on the court, being comfortable in operating from a variety of levels and using his size to his advantage. He knocked down shots but also was able to score around the basket well.
- 2026 Braxton Davis: The big man came up big in the second half, scoring all nine points, including the game-winning bucket with just two seconds remaining. Davis was a force around in the paint for his team.
Community School of Davidson
- 2029 Ethan Hurley: Coming into this game, Hurley was one that we were eager to see and learn abou,t and the freshman didn’t disappoint. He did a nice job in making plays off the bounce, creating and weaving through the defense, and also scoring with touch around the basket. He proved he can be an effective multi-level scorer for his team.
- 2026 Dylan Foltz/ 2026 Griffin Ward: Foltz is an interesting matchup with his length and ability to score inside and out. He really was able to show that in the second half, knocking down big shots to help his team. Ward, certainly one that can carve out space, proved to be a tough presence in the paint and on the glass; liked his overall activity.
