Early viewing of Lake Norman, boys and girls
Phenom Hoops is eager to head back to Lake Norman once again for this event, as they have been a terrific host in the past. Both the boys and girls will be in action and leading the headlines for this event, as both have eyes on the big prize this upcoming season. Lake Norman boys runs deep again led by 2025 Tre McKinnon and so many others despite a tough loss 2025 Trent Steinour. Grant Hodges and company look to make a statement at home once again at this event. Lake Norman girls are right there as well, as they will be led again by the Shehan sisters and 2026 Kelsey Rhyne, giving this team plenty of weapons.
KJ Younger and Weddington back in action
One of the biggest stockrisers last year was 2025 KJ Younger and we will get to watch him again in leading the charge. Nearly averaging a double-double and posting 24ppg last year, Younger will be the clear go-to guy for this team, and he has a chance to really show even more of his growth and leadership. Could that turn into more offers his way? We shall see but a big showing in this event certainly may help.
New Look Cannon
Cannon will look quite a bit different this year with several key losses and a change in head coach. Coach Jim Baker now leads the charge after racking up wins and titles at Central Cabarrus. His impressive style of play and leadership should continue to shine at Cannon, as we get a great chance to see what he can do with his new program and the talent around him.
LJ Smith and Lincolnton looking to put on a show
Smith and Lincolnton should be a fun team to watch, as we recently spoke to Smith about his mindset and focus heading into the season. Well, he will be on the Phenom platform on several occasions, as he looks to bring an offensive show once again. After averaging over 30+ppg last year, he hopes to surpass those numbers in his sophomore season and show why he is being recruited heavily early on.
