5’10 2022 Bobby Taylor (Upward Stars 3SSB 17U/DW Daniel)

Taylor is a quick-thinking lead guard that manipulates defenses with pass fakes. I believe that Smart has the ability to play at the next level given his toughness, IQ, and facilitative ability. Put the ball in the basket well in day 3, really showed me an ability to score that I was looking to see.

6’2 2024 Joe Rhyne (Team Slay Basketball/Gaston Christian)

One of the state’s better shooters in his class, Joe Rhyne stayed consistent in his catch and shoot abilities all weekend. He was comfortable putting the ball on the floor, but was the most effective from behind the arc,

6’1 2022 Mike Best (Team Howard 204/Word of God)

Mike attacked the rim and defending at his usual rate. Knocked down a triple while attempting to show his reliability from behind the arc. I think his senior season at Word of God will serve him well, allowing him the opportunity to play alongside other athletes I expect to make an impact at the college level.

5’10 2022 Fachundo Arunda (Big Shots 17U/Moravian Prep)

Fachundo is an aggressive, downhill guard that makes it a purpose to fight to the lane every possession. I noticed his scrappy nature during a possession where it looked as if he was trying to run through the opposing defender on the way to the rim. He’s so relentless in his attack, I can imagine the potential drive and kick situations he’ll create for his guys.
