It is the question everyone asks with young players… Brandon White is a 6’10 2022 prospect from North Rowan and Phenom Hoops was lucky enough to get a glimpse of his game twice last season. Driving up I-85 to a program that shows love and support for their program, White immediately catches your attention with his size and skill.
Once he steps on the court, you see those flashes that absolutely blow you away. A 6’10 big man that has long arms, looks to tear off the rim, runs the floor well, and covers a lot of ground on the defensive side… you start to see the full potential of this young man.
Most recently, Rivals released their 2022 rankings and at #144, sits White’s name. And he also already holds offers from Virginia Tech and Western Kentucky.
Could this just be the start for White' Possibly. White still has work to do as he still is raw in areas but the talent is there, it can be clearly seen… It is just a matter of time of putting it all together. If he does, he could rise up the rankings quickly, especially on a national scale.
What has Phenom Hoops Said in the Past:
“White has a ton of tools that you don’t always see in a big man of his size. With his blend of mobility, length, and power along the inside, this certainly won’t be the last time you will be hearing his name around the state and in the recruiting world.” – Patrick O’Brien in 2020
“White has a legitimate shot to be a high major prospect. At 6’9 White tries to rip the rim off the backboard every time he gets the chance and that’s an incredibly welcoming sign for a young big. He’s certainly raw in some areas, his perimeter game is still evolving, his body is still transforming, but he’s got a great frame, athleticism, and a high motor. He runs the floor really well in transition and does a great job protecting the rim on the defensive end. He rebounds both backboards and is absolutely imposing as hell for a sophomore. There’s a lot to like here and he will certainly get a MAJOR bump in our next rankings update.” – Miles Masercola in 2019
