Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Knoah Carver
Class: 2022
Committed to: Longwood

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

“Carver is an intriguing guard prospect that we have been able to see a few times.  Phenom Hoops got a chance to see him this past summer at the Summer Havoc in July, as he was able to show his craftiness with the ball in his hands, creating easy scoring opportunities.  Carver is an efficient three-level scorer with a great IQ. When speaking with him, he would describe his game like this: “Scoring in all ways is my most prominent strength in my eyes, getting to the basket and three-pointers and good off the bounce with my mid-range pull-ups.  I also am able to find my teammates when defenses collapse on me.  I think a part of my game that is slept on is getting rebounds.  I attack the offensive glass a lot of putbacks and easy buckets, as well as grabbing the defensive rebound and going coast-to-coast.  Also, I would say I’m a solid off-ball defender with help-side steals and I like to take charges to change momentum.”

“Carver is an underrated guard in North Carolina but continues to be productive and showing that he is capable of creating for himself, finding ways to score from all levels, and can do it on a consistent basis. Another strong showing once again.”

“He’s a smart, unselfish, all-around guard prospect with a quality blend of passing, shooting, and ball-handling. Carver is an excellent shooting threat from the perimeter but also attacks the basket and finishes strong with either hand. He moves well without the ball, rebounds well for his position, and makes the extra pass whenever available. Carver can reliably find contributions with any collection of teammates and operate from either backcourt positions with ease. Next in his development process is working to become quicker, as it would make him a better defender at the point of attack. Coach Cherry on Carver: “Knoah is a gifted player that has a knack for scoring at all three levels. He makes the right pass after drawing an extra defender off of dribble-penetration. He is excellent at the midrange pull-up.” Carver continues to be a useful contributor in every possible setting and should be a major factor for Ardrey Kell throughout the upcoming season.”
