It seemed like it was only a matter of time before college programs started to catch on to 2026 Kelsey Rhyne from Lake Norman. Rhyne was one that we had a great opportunity to watch over the last year or so, and have seen the development she has made in her game but also continues to prove how deadly of a weapon she can be.
Rhyne is such an interesting prospect with her ability to be an offensive weapon, especially with her confidence in her ability to knock down shots from deep, her quick release from multiple areas on the court, and her toughness in being able to make plays off the bounce and get to the basket. And that doesn’t even mention her competitive nature on the defensive end.
She changes the game and opens up so much for her team offensively, which is why it is great to see schools are starting to come her way. She had earned an offer from Siena last summer but schools like Delaware and UNCW have now entered the picture recently with an offer. And we don’t think that this will be the last time you hear her name, as she is becoming a big-time target in the state of North Carolina.
What Has Been Said:
“When you talk about her game though, the first thing you notice is how big of a weapon she can be as a shooter on the court. She does a great job in not only getting to her spots off the ball but also creating space with the ball, as she has one of the quickest releases and deepest ranges in North Carolina. She knocks down shots with tremendous confidence, with a quick flick of the wrist and not needing much space to find her shot. Rhyne is one that can simply change the game for her team, not always needing to be in the spotlight but when she is firing and hitting, it looks like a long day for any opponent. And again, she is continuing to add more to her game, bringing good balance overall to the court, and contributing to her team’s winning ways.”
“Rhyne continues to shine on the court, and when she gets things going, she makes this team even more dangerous with the amount of weapons they have on the court. She is known certainly for her outside shooting, quick release, and confidence from behind the arc. But she played extremely hard and made tough plays, driving and finishing, making plays off the dribble, and finding her shot. Excellent showing today on Day 2.”
