Bounce back Time
Tyzhaun Claude

Last season, 6’7 Tyzhaun Claude played with NCHSAA 3A state champion Cox Mill. He was somewhat limited on the basketball court due to an illness that made him fatigue quickly. Not until late summer, did he fully recover and now he is the leader of Goldsboro High School basketball team. Goldsboro plays in the NCHSAA 2A division and is currently 13-2 and Claude is a main reason why.

For the season, Claude is averaging 19.8 PPG, 10.7 RPG, 2.7 BPG and 1.8 SPG. At the FCA Winter Classic held at the Mt. Olive, Goldsboro won the championship and Claude came away with MVP honors. In the opening triple overtime win, Claude finished with 38 points and collected 13
rebounds. He was simply a man on a mission.

Two years ago, Claude attended the NC Phenom 150 camp and put on a dunking exhibition. He was an effective two-way player and was getting D1 interest. There is no question, he has the size, length, and athleticism to play at that level. Claude is a passionate player about playing college basketball. He has been committed to working hard on and off the court. While he has endured a setback health wise during his junior season, he is fully recovered and is a man on a mission for his senior campaign. For Tyzhaun Claude, it’s now bounce back time.
