Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or see a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player. Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Brett Freeman
Class: 2025
Committed to: Virginia Tech

What Has Been Said by Phenom Hoops:

“Freeman though proved that he is a college-worthy prospect and would be a nice addition at the next level, especially with his versatility, what he provides with his size, and certainly his offensive capabilities. He is shooting nearly 60 percent from the floor and 50 percent from three early on while also averaging 4.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. At 6’5 he cannot only run the show and be a scoring force, but he can also create a tough matchup for opponents. He does a great job in creating for himself, using his size against smaller guards and attacks downhill well, showcasing athleticism and finishing ability. But Freeman is a multi-level scorer inside and out, as well as finding ways to get to the line. He has a smooth feel, takes what is given, and simply scores the ball at a high level; he can be tough with just how shifty and creative he is.”

“This is a young man who is coming off a strong 26-point outing against North Lincoln at the Phenom Lakesgiving event and is now averaging over 30ppg to lead the way.  He has put together a 21-point, 43-point, 33-point, and 26-point showing to start the season and we don’t see that production falling off much throughout the season. “What can you say about this young man’s season at Ardrey Kell, averaging 24.2 points per game, being an absolute scoring nightmare on a nightly basis, and is one that is highly intriguing at his position while being 6’5. Freeman showed the ability consistently that he can handle running the offense but is also one that can simply take over a game. He creates extremely well off the bounce, uses length well to his advantage, and proves that he knows how to make plays for himself and fill it up.”
