Player: Lincoln Vinson
Class: 2027
Height: 6’1
School: Davidson Day
Continuing to highlight players from our events, 2027 6’1 Lincoln Vinson has proven to be a critical piece in Davidson Day’s hope to repeat as a title contender. Though this is a loaded roster with big-time talent, Vinson has shown to provide a toughness that puts this team at another level.
Vinson is one of the young rising stars here in North Carolina, as he has displayed his game for quite some time now. Even as a freshman, there was something different about his game; he wasn’t afraid of the bright lights, he brought a competitive edge to the court, and he found ways to be productive. At Davidson Day, Vinson has played with an edge and found ways to impact the game on both sides of the court. Offensively, he is a tough, scrappy prospect who finds ways to create, gets downhill, attacks and embraces contact, facilitates well to other teammates, and attacks the boards. Defensively, he is a gritty defender who plays tough on-ball defense, shows versatility in who he can defend, excels in off-ball situations, and once again brings a physical presence.
Vinson’s ability to be productive in so many areas should certainly make him a prospect to watch for college coaches. And with what we saw this past weekend and heading forward, we expect his recruitment to only pick up more down the road.
