Phenom Lakesgiving delivered high-level energy, competitive matchups, and standout performances across every match up. From clutch moments to milestone achievements, these athletes set the tone with their playmaking, toughness, and consistency. Here are some of the top performers from the event so far:

2026 6’0 PG Cam Newman (Gaston Christian)

Delivered a standout weekend—strong showing Friday in the win over Fort Mill, then followed it with the game-winning basket Saturday against Cannon. Showed why he’s one of the most poised guards in the state. Stepped up in big moments, created for others, and consistently made winning plays. A true floor general.

2026 5’10 Rayana Minard (Lake Norman)

Excelled in every area of the game. Defensively disruptive with active hands and quick feet. Offensively attacked the rim, ran in transition, and provided steady scoring. Officially surpassed the 1,000-point career milestone—major achievement.

2026 6’4 AJ Washington (Fort Mill)

Did a little bit of everything early for his team. Attacked the rim aggressively, made smart kick-outs, and knocked down open shots. His energy, rebounding, and hustle kept Fort Mill competitive throughout.

2028 6’3 DJ Rogers (Cannon)

One of the most intriguing long-term prospects. Great size and athleticism, finishes through contact, attacks gaps, and shoots it well from the perimeter. A name to track over the next few years.

2027 Ally Smith (North Lincoln)

Showcased a polished offensive game—knocking down shots, breaking down defenders, and finishing at the basket. Saw the floor well as a passer and brought scrappy, high-effort defense to impact both ends.

2026 6’1 Braylon Taylor (Salisbury)

The early go-to scorer. Comfortable on and off the ball, knocking down rhythm shots and attacking driving lanes. Provides a confident, steady offensive presence for Salisbury.

2026 6’4 Carter Abernethy (North Lincoln)

Used his size, athleticism, and feel to affect multiple areas. A strong downhill driver, active rebounder, and willing passer who consistently makes the right plays and picks his spots to score.

2026 6’3 Jon Ross (Salisbury)

Strong showing at Lakesgiving—a consistent shooter finishing each game with multiple threes, hit the boards rebounds, and contributed across the board to help Salisbury come out with wins.
