Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or see a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day. It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player. Here is the latest commitment.
Player: Bradley Floyd
Class: 2026
Committed to: Austin Peay
Game Breakdown:
Skilled, well-rounded wing with the IQ, size, and athleticism to affect all facets of the game. Natural glue-guy. Floyd does a healthy amount of everything on the court and is adaptable to team needs in every setting. Reliable shooter, penetrator, and overall scorer from all levels, but quietly underrated as a passer. Quality defender and rebounder for his size/position. Simply an impactful player who doesn’t possess any glaring weaknesses on either end of the floor. – Jeff Bendel
What Has Been Said by Phenom Hoops:
“One of the most versatile prospects in North Carolina’s 2026 class, Bradley Floyd continues to impress with his all-around impact. At 6’5″, Floyd brings length, athleticism, and a good basketball IQ that allows him to seamlessly contribute across multiple positions. What makes Floyd stand out isn’t his scoring ability — it’s the fact that he doesn’t need the ball in his hands to affect the game. He thrives as a defender, capable of guarding 1 through 4, using his combination of strength, quickness, and instincts to disrupt opponents.”
“Floyd clearly showed that he checks off boxes that should make him a high priority at the next level for several programs; he can flourish as a playmaker on the court with tremendous size and versatility, while also be a presence on both ends of the court. We knew about his ability to be an effective scorer, finishing at the rim and over defenders, as well as a developing perimeter game. But he blew us away with his vision, passing, and court awareness, delivering impressive dimes all throughout the game. His game allows him to impact so much on the court and again, he is just a sophomore and still has room for growth. But from what we saw at the event, the future looks bright.”
“Floyd is starting to enter a different discussion regarding the Class of 2026, as we will have much more on him later this week. But from what we have seen over the last year, this young man is going under the radar but could also be in for a blowup. Floyd, who sits at 6’5, may be one of the most versatile prospects in his class, as he is a stat sheet stuffer. Whether it is creating and scoring, facilitating to his teammates, rebounding, and/or defending, Floyd does it all and offers so much on the court. I truly believe this is just the start of a big uptick in his recruitment.”
