Player: Colinn Morris

School: Grace Christian (Raleigh)
In these times, so many people in the basketball world look at how many points you score and base their judgment on just that. But when you truly scout and watch the game of basketball, there are so man other intangibles that programs could use to help benefit them in the future.
Watching the other day, we had a chance to watch 2028 6’1 Colinn Morris from Grace Christian, and when watching him, he is one of those guards that understands how to run the show and make smart decisions. Watching him throughout, Morris does a great job in understanding how to run the offense, making good reads, being patient and seeing the floor, finding open teammates for the right shot, and being able to be a good scoring presence whether off the bounce or in catch and shoot situations. Morris plays the right way and does what is needed to help his team. With him being such a young prospect, he should only continue to improve. But the feel and mentality are all there early on, as college programs should have him on their radar for the coming years here in North Carolina.
NC Top 80 Evaluation:
“Next, Colinn Morris is a 6-foot-1 prospect in the Class of 2028. He’s an incredibly smart, unselfish point guard who provides a very steady presence on both ends of the floor. Morris dictates the action with poise and patience. He takes care of the ball, breaks down opponents off the bounce, and sees the floor really well as a passer. Morris scores as needed, but primarily looks to create for others. He’s also a pesky defender and capable rebounder who competes with consistent energy at all times. Next in his development process is working on the use of his off-hand, as it would make him a more complete player. Coach Anderson on Morris: “Colinn is a coachable guard and high-IQ playmaker who always looks to make the right play. Hustles and controls the pace with ease. Very unselfish teammate and leader by example. Colinn has a bright future ahead.” Morris offered a reliable presence throughout camp and will remain a focal point at Grace Christian over the foreseeable future.”
