Top-10 national recruit Anthony Thompson (Class of 2026, 6′8 forward, Western Reserve Academy — Hudson, OH) has officially committed to Ohio State Buckeyes men’s basketball, selecting the Buckeyes over a field that included programs like Indiana, Kentucky, Texas, North Carolina, and Purdue.

Thompson brings an elite offensive skill-set and two-way versatility to Columbus. With his size, length, and smooth stroke, he can shoot from the perimeter, create off the bounce, and finish strong around the rim. Defensively, his 7-foot wingspan and mobility give him upside as a rebounder and shot-alterer. Coaching staff in Columbus see him as a foundational piece who can contribute early and grow into a go-to option.

Landing Thompson is a major recruiting win for Ohio State — adding one of the most highly-rated wings in the class and strengthening their frontcourt for years to come.
